Hello
I have a shimano technium 4000fb that I've been using for 2 years, and it's developed a bit of an occasional squeak when winding. What maintenance can I carry out other than cleaning, oiling via the little hole and greasing the bar that goes through from the handle? The performance of the reel seems unaffected, don't think it's damaged, but it's a little bit irritating.
Any tips appreciated
Mike

Shimano Felindre

I use a Twinpower 4000FC and have had it for about 8 months or so and found it was sounding a little rough in recent weeks, so sent it to Felindre in Swansea (the shimano specialist) for them to have a look at. Sent in on the Monday and it was back on my door step Wednesday lunch time the same week, all serviced. I rang them to ask how much I owed them and they said "nothing"!!! Thought I would mention what a great service they provided. I don't know why they didn't charge me, maybe it was because the reel was relatively new, but reeeel happy about it!!!

The guys at Felindre are very good at what they do, they really look after me and have a very quick turn around time.

Here is a slide show I did on the Technium 4000, it might help, you dont even have to remover everything, you can get to most of it without removing the guts.Use the pause button to keep it at a readable speed. Remember to oil the handle, take it apart on the paddle and remember the bail roller. Some Techniums didnt have bearings in the bail roller so happy days just give it an oil and get it free'd up and rolling smoothly.

The slide show ran short so I didnt get to show how to put it all back together, but its pretty straight forward, any problems phone me.
