Thanks Ger - not read those ... updating the sticky!
Rich Murphy's book on striper fly fishing is VERY good.
the little red book of fly fishing, i bought a copy on newfoundland when i lived in canada, primarily aimed at freshwater though the anecdotes in there are brilliant for tidal waters when swffing.

Also justin anwyl a season on the salt dvd available through the main B.A.S.S site if my memory serves me.

Also available through his own site at http://www.bass-fishing.co.uk
Can I add me?

I have been a rod builder on and off (full time for local tackle shop, part time for myself) for the last 20 years and specialise in fly rods. I also build the usual carp/pike/beach/boat rods and have finally started to get access to some nice lure rod blanks :) (US and NZ)

I developed the first "Official Pike Fly Fishing Association" rod with a British blank manufacturer and I have to say, built with saltwater proof fittings, the rod makes a gorgeous Bass/Pollock fly rod.

I also have a local contact for some beautiful light weight trout rod blanks, 3 weights that are gorgeous to fish with.

I also tie flies, mainly Pike, but naturally these are similar to SW flies. Infact, I have spent the last few evenings tying up large Clousers for Pollock :)

I don't churn out big numbers and I never will these days. Its now a hobby and all rods are built via word of mouth.

Always open to challenges (Latest is a 5 weight Switch Rod for streamer fishing for Brown Trout) and I love people that want something a bit different :)

Anyway, hope its ok to "self advertise"...its not a business, just a hobby gone mad these days :) If its not ok, can the mods please delete this post and let me know.

Cheers
Rob
