Rod, will it do me for Perch and plastics?

So I've managed to acquire a rod called "Skyroad wind custom - 772MW made by a company called MajorCraft? Its rated for lure weight of 1/4-3/4 of an ounce. I want it to fish for perch with some nice size plastics, like crayfish that abound in one lake I know? Be kind, if it's crap I do have a Daiwa lure rod called a shad I think?

Its teamed up with a real called a Feather lightweight, in a nicer blue colour about a 3000 size I'd guess. on that I've put some .14 braid, yellow in a good brand. Thanks all, I'll ask about leaders in the proper place. Dick.
