Out today with Derek Buesnel today using exactly same lure a Manns hard nose paddletail and a 6gm jig head resulted in a numbe of fish comining to the boat but nothing over 2.5 lbs.

We had 15 bass well I had 13 Derek had 2 fish what made the difference we had no idea(apart from my natural skill?)maybe it is different retirieve styles answers on a postcard please.

You did well there Alan.I was out the next day and managed 2 b 4 I chuckd in the towel.Must b your skill.:-D

thanks Nigel you are going the right way for a trip out when you are in Jersey, Stephen I only had 2 the following day the wind against the currents messed up my drifts

Sunday was very difficult. We were three on the boat, one had two bass and one had one. I had none! Well I was busy with the helm, that's my excuse.

Seriously, you are right about the wind and tide together, I've never had to work so hard getting the boat were I wanted it. We had some follows and lots of bumps and dropped a couple but they didn't seem too keen on the bite. Top lure? The faithful Sidewinder, around midwater.
