Managed to bump into a couple of nice fish from beach marks over the weekend on savage gear sandeels, the first about 2-12 and the second 3-12. Not seeing many sandeels around at the moment but there does seem to be plenty of fry about. View attachment 2885 View attachment 2886

hi andy two nice fish .we had 14 on the boat and most on sandeel patterns personally i dont think it matters if they see food they want it .thats the predator in them .ive been trying to get some of them savage gear sandeels but everywhere is out of stock they must be good

Thanks Jonathan, you're right about everywhere being out of stock-'monsterfishing' (thanks Mike) and 'fishtec' have some of the medium size eels but i'm told the smaller eels will not be available until the New Year-i have two of the smaller eels left, but only thanks to a lot of superglue.
