I'll try and get a price of the cags that i saw (it'll be Thursday), and let you know that before you make a decision. If the Scierra gear is in the same league as my Greys, then it might not be as good as you need for what we want . . . . . . . . . it's not 'just' the rain, it's getting nailed by a wave!!

When i worked in Burtons Biscuits in Cwmbran, Gary Evans in Newport was one of my favourite lunch-time haunts. SOme good deals, and run by very knowledgable anglers.
