I have recently acquired a Sebile Koolie Minnow 118FT from a friend.

What am I supposed to do with it (obvious answers will be ignored!!). :lol:

I can't seem to find very much info on it but despite it's huge bib it will apparently dive to about 5ft (I notice some of Sebiles range claims to dive to 58ft on a fast retreive!!)

Is it a jerk or a pull it in? Suspending? I assume floating from the FT bit printed on it's undercarriage.

I think there are quite a few Koolie Minnow 118 FT's in the World. Is there any other code with it? BRL, LL, ML etc?

Yes, It's got some liquid and glitter in there. Not full, about half full I guess.

The Koolie Minnow is a great lure, with a fantastic action, problem is they are quite fragile, the oil tends to leak out and the bib snaps off if you hit a rock. Apart from that they are great, some french anglers swear by them. When I have used them in the past just a straight retrieve seemed ok, but of course stopping and twitching is so common now it seems compulsary.

There are a few versions, different depths, not sure which one you have mate

If it's the 118FT then I think it's the ML (medium lip) which is a 21.5 gram floater rated at 2 to 5 ft.
I use the 118 SU which is the small lipped suspender version that works at 1 1/2 to 3ft.
Nice lures.

OK, found out it's the LL which I have, after I tried it last night. Dives really deep, 3.9m according to the link below and has a serious action, fast tight wobble I guess would describe it. Does feel like you have a 5lb bass on if you crank it in though, the shukan was bent double just reeling the lure when at speed!!

Will be one to try on my deeper marks which I use the sinking lures to get down there.

They are sound mate, you will catch on it without a doubt. Mine got smashed on a big wrasse, didnt land the wrasse but it was 5lb easy, dam thing straightened a treble at my feet and the lure flew past me and smashed on a rock.

Just bought some myself after a feature in Sea Dangler, I hope I don't have any problems as you guys have had !!!!!
