How many times a day, roughly, do you think about lure fishing?

Particularly days where you don't have access to sites like this or actual fishing itself because of the weather.

I ask because I'm a tad concerned about how much time I spend thinking about fishing. Is there a "Plugging Priory" anywhere in the UK?

Perhaps I need to get myself a hobby :badlol:

Far too often.. At least it's good to know I'm not the only one.
Sorry Basso', but i think like the rest of us you are doomed to a "darksiders" fate, and will forever have lustful thoughts of rocky outcrops, white water, and shiny bits of plastic... :lol:
I started day dreaming about lure fishing 15 years or so ago, still livin the dream, livin the dream man. What a :wackit: I am.

in the winter months like this i think its worse for me becuase i cant get out and chuck some plastic... i find opening my tackle bag and looking at all my lures helps... :? :roll:
Why do you think I spend so much time on here?? If I can't do it I can at least read about it or talk about it!
@Tim:

I can read and learn then!

I think about it every few minutes..................... :)
thinking of lure fishing?, lost count how many times a day. It really is quite addictive this lure fishing lark and my average day goes like this.
Wake up in the morning and have a cheeky little look at the lure forum to see whats new and who's posted what, sometimes take a look at the other forum as i don't take a daily paper at home so its always interesting to see what the " red top" papers are saying, arrh not alot.
Ready my self for work and and take the morning constatutional whilst admiring the glorious red bar housed in the lav corner........... always brings a smile to my face. Now I've decided to start walking to work and the quickest way to get there is the St Aubins inner road, and bugger me with a fish fork (Or tackle house feed shallow) if the inner road doesn't pass Mr Fish. Now the rational for walking to work isn't on the basis of fitness, no its obsession. If i had have drove i would have passed Mr Fish's window display without taking in a truely good blimp at those red rod tips, and shiny lures. Now walking allows me approx a 5 second gorp before things start getting creepy. It was even worse at christmas with the christmas lure tree I would find myself pawing his window like a five year old child and would suddenly become aware of laura pulling me away.
15 minutes later and i'll arrive at work and work straight through till lunch time, may have had the odd conversation with one of the old jersey boys about bass fishing. Take lunch and decide to have another look at the forum, if not alot going on will log onto Henry's blog, ahh new recommended lures. now check out recommended lures website, make fourth new wish list. Home time and must go to WH smiths to see if any of the fishing mags are in. Arhh only "total sea fishing" won't be buying this as sometimes they don't seem to be factually correct, example they have this bloke who gives advice out and in his profile it keeps stating he's only 40. In the words of jim royle " my arse" and if they can't get his age right what else aren't they getting right?
Now at home and its the third time i've logged onto the forum, search out and have a look at what else is going on in other cyber tackle shops, arh monster tackle always do a good blog and I don't quite think they are aware that I am stalking their lure pages as well, surely they can't tell how many times I've log on. Its harmless isn't it? finally I now have to plan my route of tackle shops, one visit per shop per week or I feel a restraining order coming on. This is the bonus in jersey that we have a few tackle shops so I can visit one daily without the owners becoming un-nerved at the tackle tart geek. I've had my fix for the day............ so is this the same for everyone lse? :rollineyes:

Sorry, must also say i do buy total sea fishing, and really enjoy it :muttley:
Ah you get through your teens and act like a randy rabbit, the mrs says you think of sex every 9 seconds, you grow older, wiser, richer then poorer, then your mrs thinks about not having sex every 9 seconds (you know what I mean) so you take up a hobby, by which time you're now thinking of your hobby every 9 seconds. Reckon that answers the question.
