WEll after reading through many articles on jersey bass guides ect and indeed in here i have started to consider a rarenium for my concept rods i have an eye on and using my stradic 2500 for lrf.
My question is how easy is it to get spare spools for the rarenium
c14? and what weight of braid would be best for medium to heavy lures?

thanks again guys

Not sure about the spare spools but PE 1.2 YGK would sit great on a 2500 spool. No need for anything bigger and super strong.

I have PE 0.8, 1 and 1.2 on 2500 sized reels and lines under that on 2000 sized reels. To be honest, you could use 2500 size reels for all our fishing really, including real HRF with PE 1.5, as there is ample line capacity with the drag on better 2500's being more than capable.

ah interesting keith my friend i have always used 2500 reels for all of my mullet fishing and my favorite reel of all time is a rear drag stradic 2500 which i already own a couple of with loads of spools.
on thinking a 2500 would balance very well with light rods i think going to pair up with my mates tenryu supermix in the morning and see how it feels.
christ would save a fortune on new reels aswell. Bargain.
