One of my target venues for the Summer is a sewer outfall at low tide where bass gorge themselves on shrimp. I've got a hunch that they're preoccupied with smashing into them and ignore my current lures.

I've got a translucent pink Zonk Hamana to try twitching across the bittom to kick up some puffs of silt, and quite a few metals to do the same with but are there any plugs/lures around that perhaps immitate these small shrimp? It's quite a snaggy venue as the pipe is surrounded by mussel beds.

Any advice appreciated!

Regards,
Rob

I use a lure from Australia called the "Prawnstar", very realistic shrimp pattern, twitching it cause the tail to snap. plus it has removable weights so you can vary the action/depth.Worth checking out

Try a clouser minnow or one of Andy Elliots 'Shrimp' patterns on a bombarda rig.

SP shrimps, DOA etc pretty good too.

There is a new Jackson 'Shrimp' plug I'm testing right now that looks awesome in the water.
You can't have one though and you wouldn't like t anyway...
