Welcome to the third annual TLF Silver Six Nations competition

Here are the rules;

1) Every member of TLF is automatically entered to the six nations comp - you do not need to sign up

2) There are six “Nations” represented, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, England, Kernow (Cornwall) and Offshore which comprises France, Channel Islands and Isle of Man

3) The minimum qualifying size is 50cm.

4) Photos to be clear and show complete fish on a TLF ruler or straightened BASS tape – Irish Bass comp ruler or a standard steel DIY tape is fine. Anything unclear or dubious (ruler / tape not straight) may not be considered. Video may be accepted at the judges discretion.

5) The individual angler chooses his “nation” with his first post. You may not change your nation after this time

6) If you improve your fish subsequently to your first entry, add this to update the cumulative length of fish for your nation but you must declare this as a new entry.

7) Only one fish per angler will be put through to the Nation’s total length, your best fish only will be considered

8) You can enter your fish into any other TLF comp or regional festival and vice versa

9) The comp runs from May 1st 2016 to 30th Nov 2016. Entries close at midnight of the last day of the comp

10) You can catch a fish from anywhere in the world for your team. You do not need to be resident or fishing in the boundaries of your home “Nation” to enter a fish. e.g. if you fish for Scotland and land a bass in Northern Spain whilst on holiday, this fish may be entered on behalf of Scotland, as long as it is measured and readable and all other rules have been adhered to

11) European Sea Bass (dicentrarchus labrax) only (no spotted bass, striped bass, small/largemouth bass etc.)

12) Lure and fly caught fish only may be entered

13) A catch report must accompany every fish entered and a link to report posted with entry

14) Be partisan, be proud but don’t be a prat – no racist or jingoistic “banter” will be tolerated please remember you fall under the general TLF rules at all times

15) Each team may appoint a Team Captain to encourage the team members and keep the motivation going.

16) To maintain the spirit of the competition and the motivation of your teammates, where possible, all fish should be registered no later than 14 days from capture.

17) Shore, boat or kayak entries are all permissible

18) The winning Nation will be the team with the highest cumulative length of the 5 longest bass submitted by that Nation’s team members i.e. the total length of the 5 longest fish submitted if placed in a line end to end.

19) Running total will be updated weekly via leaderboard thread

GOOD LUCK ALL, MAY THE BEST NATION WIN!
