Just informed that some footage is, or was on Nat Geo (wild i think), on a program called ' Hooked '
There were 2 on tonight, both repeated at 12 and 1am, I'm recording both to see if it was on.

EDIT, yes it was on..,Just had a PM from someone getting excited about squeezing into a rubber suit next season. LOL

It'll be on the 12 o'clock repeat I think.

Would love to try Skishing, the thought of floating in the current with a fishing rod is superb, the only problem I would have is if the Japanese whaling fleet got wind of it and started aiming harpoons at me

 Yes my fiance reacted the same way when I told her about it.

Mind you, she thinks I'm nuts for going out in all weathers so i don't reckon it counts.
Well, glad not all women think that way..

Got 2 right now buying Xmas skishing trip gifts for their partners..

Could it be you ?

If you open another gift that includes brown underpants or people start dropping
hints that, perhaps you should write your will...

Start swimming lessons guys.

Just to quickly run you through the segment..

It showed how Paul went from wetsuit swimfishing to skishing in a re-enacted encounter.
Paul and the Montauk skish crew don't skish like Channel Islanders, they are more, open
water boys where we are gutter rats.
Our currents are more river like where Montauk is more a rip current and, they generally
use bait, eels or sluggo, hogy's etc where we use loads of methods.

Note that Paul uses short fins and a scuba wetsuit, we don't. We use full blown 2 pc freedive suits and
long fins to deal with crossing strong currents and, to aid balance.

In 2005, skishing was born, in 2009, skishing here, and there, is very different but still extremely
exciting.

You gotta be in it to understand but it was great to hear the word 'Skishing' used on UK / GB TV.
Makes it much easier for me to get the word out so as people know what it is.

I've heard some really stupid attempts as describing it this past year.

Don't have satellite TV, but good to see that Skishing is getting TV coverage.
