Has anybody got any experience of the skunk 123 flashing plate joker. I picked up one by mistake the other day thinking it was a sazuke (side tracked by the rods)

None whatsoever but it looks damn good :-D

I am pretty sure that they were mentioned in a few of Marq's catch reports towards the end of last year.

That sort of thing is perfect for North Devon ;-)

Thought this thread was about smoking puff. It's not. That's a disappointment :(.

I have one in the joker colours and one in a mullet pattern. as for the joker, only used it once but the conditions were far from ideal, does have a nice action though.

So, tried my skunk at the weekend. The water was relatively milky and hard to see what Te lures was doing but it looked like it ran approx 30cm deep with a komomo sf125 roll and wobble. It gripped the water well even against a swell. Cating distance was good at around 80% of the distance I was getting with a zonk.

All in all, it felt quite quite impressive.

No Crevan, no fish at all. It was too cold.

I was out myself today Jon and like you I had no fish and it was very cold. I stuck it out for a couple of hours and when my fingers got that numb that I couldn't open the clip to change lures I pulled the pin on it.

I should have stayed in with some of that skunk :)

Having a bluepeter moment when fishing is the way to do it. Word of warning don't pack it if you are out on the rocks ;-)
