Good lin kthere mate i have always used a double grinner for braid to mono or flurocarbon.
Is there a major advantage using tis slim knot?

yes its quite slim but more importantly when wrapping the braid up then down they over lap which prevents burning the leader off.In the tutorial I think they use four turns for the mono but for braid you could double that.

I have no idea for super braid as I haven't used it yet.You might have to increase the wraps.

Main advantage of the Slim Beauty is the way in which the tag ends come off of it - they all point in the same direction - back towards your reel. As a result, there are no tags to get caught as it passes out through the rod eyes. Good knot to use if you want to use a longer leader! I've had PE1 and a 15lb leader running freely through PE guides recently with no problems. An Albright or uni-uni would have been getting caught all over the place...
