Nice fish Austen. Those SP's really do work, what sort of ground were you fishing?

Shallow heavy ground, boudlery reef. I had a 9 Pounder on fly there in 2008 .

Its just slugos that I have had a problem with over the years. Im still a top water fetishist with strange fly fishing tendancies deep down

Nice fish mate! I'm still trying to work some magic with my stash of slugos, hard work trying to slow things down after cranking the hard lures!

I think that if you saltwaterfly fish then this helps when fishing plastics . Im using them with the Owner Sled heads, fshed Texas style. This means I can fish them super slow through shallow rocky ground. usng the same retieve with an SP as I do with a fly. Three taps and a pause.
