Will Conger chase prey???????????

Apparently. Frequently caught by western French boat anglers targetting maigres on SPs. I have seen the photos in French angling mags.

Not caught one myself on an SP - YET!

You can find conger holes under water the way that you find owl roosts on land.

Look for pellets of undigested prey nearby - for congers its just outside the hole usually. Mousseaux shells etc.

There are a few good holes within casting distance of the shore. I'd probably want to know there's an eel in there before I spent all evening chucking lures at it though!

Crab SP

Saw these last autumn and liked them.

This is the biggest I could find. Bought a few different sizes for Mick and crew to try out on the boats.

Might need to trim those claws down a bit?!

Anyone tried anything similar?
