Spending next weekend on the Wiltshire Avon and Nadder, leaving the bait and trotting gear at home to concentrate purely on lures

In addition to the usual HPs and spinners im keen to give SPs a go. In particular I have a hankering to get a chub on a crayfish imitation. Was a time when I was dismissive about such creations but since i have had my eyes opened to the effectiveness of SPs and since crays now play such a big part in the diet of so many river species perhaps its time to give them a go!

Has anyone had any experience of fishing these?, any advice much appreciated as I have very little idea how to fish them effectively

Cheers
Nigel
