The excellent PE lines from Sunline can be really, really difficult to get your hands on, even from Japan, but this Italian eBay store has a pretty descent selection of them.

The Sunline Super PE is very good indeed.

I’ve never tried it myself but the Sunline Castaway is a sinking hybrid line that is supposed to be a good deal more abrasion resistant and is a firm favourite among many Japanese sea bass specimen hunters.

No, I don’t think colour matters much and I prefer fluorescent or bright yellow for many applications simply because of the improved visibility.

Castaway has a huge rep for abrasion resistance.

Rockfish is orange but highly thought of as an LRF line in lighter diameters.
