Nice one Keith! I think eventually I'll have to get over and join you all on one of these bumbles!
Thanks for all the hard work you put into organising the event Keith, and it was good to get out with some other like minded lure fisherman. The Cake was good as well -- thanks Annette.

Sorry forgot to mention, great report! 19 bumblers all at one time, fantastic!
Very envious!!! Hard to work out what I missed the most, the fishing or the CAKE!!!!! Great report Keith.
This was the venue! http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?t=h&hl=en-GB&ie=UTF8&ll=49.174598,-2.12457&spn=0.014028,0.038581&z=15

You can walk to the castle at low water, but the tide cuts it off from about 3 hours before high. IN which case you can get the 'Puddleducks' over to it (kind of amphibious people carriers). As you look at the image, the compass points are correct, and the wind was pummelling in from the west, making it very tricky to fish that side. Chris (Squid) stuck it out into the teeth of it though, and it paid off for him.
Well done guys, good fishing. Its Elizabeth castle just outside Jersey harbour, its a great venue that has produced many good fish over the years, including specimen Bass,Wrasse,Pollock,Bream,Conger,Undulate ray,Garfish,Mackerel
Mullet,Plaice,Trigger fish & probably others i've not heard about.
Cheers Mark and Steve, I saw Elizabeth castle and thought it might be what with that long pier in one of the shots. Brilliant multi-bumble!
here you go keith thanks for the report!

and thanks to everyone that came along it was a really good day shame about the wind, well done guys

You need to start carrying digital scales m8.
It is an impressive catch seeing it was all on lures, if you just think about that for a second you'll appreciate what is being achieved here, well done to all of you.
yeah i know ill lose them but its a small price to pay

My first fish was about a pound and a bit (not in the photos, Jamo should have one though). It followed the XLayer over a ledge below me into about 2ft of water, I stopped the lure and it nailed it. Great stuff.

When I eventually found the fish I missed so many bites, at one point one a cast, and lost a couple of fish. One packet of Emeraude XLayers toasted. Crazy fun.
Guys:

I've updated the article with Callums fish and 1 more shot of Paul B. I've added some more comment too.
JP informs me his web is down but I'll get any missing pics into the article asap.

Paul:

Crazy fun indeed. When it starts firing it's nuts eh. I missed at least 3 unmissable bites again.
