With my local haunts dry of Bass the past couple of weeks since the storm that muddied the water for what seemed an eternity, I gave Teignmouth a try for the first time in ages. Weed galore when I arrived, along with dirty water and lots of fishermen. The only lure that works there is the white, medium-sized Delta eel carried by a 3/4oz weight. I tried my favourite lures like the Maria Chase and the Tackle House, but didn't even get a bump. Anyway, half an four later and thinking I'd lost my Bass mojo out came this corker after a surprisingly good fight for his size. No more after him as the catching zone at low-tide doesn't last long, but I had fun and more importantly - I've got my mojo back!
