Well with the season slowly drawing to a close for the year in many areas I thought it was time to find out which lure was the best in the UK in 2009. So I would like everyone to PM me their three favourate lures. Maker, model and size only. I will then put together a top ten (or twenty) depending on your votes. We will run the voting for the next two weeks, one vote each guys  , and I will have the results up in time for Christmas. Should prove interesting to see what the best will be??? Hard plastic?? Softy???
Plus it will be a useful thread for the new members next year.
Please take the time to vote, as the more votes we get, the better the results will be.
Cheers Tunny

For me this year has been a disaster in and out of hospital all the time so i haven't been able to get out much so these results would probably be different if i had been able to get out more
The only lure's i have caught on this year are

1 heddon super spook

2 Sawamura one up shad

3 Ecogear para max

Nice choices Dai,
But could everyone PM their choices to me, honest it makes it easier.
However feel free to guess what you think will be the top UK lure, which company has best served UK plugging this year?? And anything else related.

I always find Veals brilliant. Monster Tackle are quite good too.

I bought a rod, some braid and rapala braid scissors from some bloke with a funny hat in Jersey once. His service was good too. Don, I think his name was... Or was it Rick? I can never remember..... ;)

Oh and Tide Minnow will be top of the pops.

Zonk gateride 120 without a doubt the best hard lure i have ever used, yes fragile, prone to breaking etc etc but who gives a damn when a lure nails bass as consistently as this one. If you told me I could have one hard lure and that was that, then it would be the gateride. ITO Knows his s*it, there is no doubt,.

most of the takes on this lure come right at your feet, I always stop it about 8 - 10 ft from shore and let it sink back and bang it gets nailed! I had Bass, Pollock and Wrasse on this lure and only really fished it for two months of what was a fairly shi*e season.

How about Abu Toby, 28g, Silver? That would most of us feel more than a little foolish.

Excellent.

3 lures that I expected there at the top but...

In all honesty, as great as the zonk is ( i have around 7 or 8 inc gatorides + zonk 77's) i never
figured it would turn over the 145 sld TM.

Stunned I am.

I know what you mean MyFish,
I have to confess I have yet to catch on a Zonk!!
But the SLD-F 145 is pretty much my go to lure.
