I love mail-order tackle. I just recieved a beatifully packed parcel to my desk in work. When i saw that it was from Jersey, i immediately hugged & kissed it, much to the amusement & disbelief of my colleagues. They asked me "is it normal for someone to feel this way about lures?", as i shuddered with pleasure upon opening, said parcel ????

I am officially in love, thanks Uncle Mick . . . . . .

I wish that we still had the little monkey, so that i could relay my current feelings more accurately . . . . . Mike, can we please get the monkey back ???? :?

You are not alone ! Mick has sent my stuff out a week ago and still not received it, we are still having wild cat strikes in this neck of the woods, letters seem fine parcels are the problem !!! :(
Sweeet looking lure their Si,
Do you think it would be a good idea for a lure sub catagory where we could put plug porn and tips on how to fish each model. eg. Z-Claw, Feedshallow, Tideminnow etc just so they are easier to find when you want a quick kleenex moment :D ?
Sounds like a good idea Andy

Where's the monkey Si
Now that is a cracking looking Z Claw, a really nice general baitfish colour. I feel another purchase coming on. I must admit I can get very grumpy, waiting for new gear to arrive, especially when the weather is good and the tides are right. But given the current weather and forecast. I am totally chilled out. :ugeek:

Lewisman, we want the colour code, no Plug porn is complete without it

Andy, that sounds good. Easiest way without having to keep adding more catergorys would be to make a sticky on the subject.

That is an excellent idea. and will also guide the newbies in using these lures to get the most out of them.

Sounds good, in the future with new members if they can see maybe an edited down version keeping it to the point including, Name of Lure, colours, style and tips on working it and a couple of good pics.
Maybe Mad One or yourself Keith can get on the case .
guys how long has the z claw lure been on the market.i have a lure in the shed that ive never used ,had it for about 10years and its identicle to the z claw but has a little fin on the top.just wondering what make it is.....has xps floating on it,cheers daz
Dazdecs,
The Z Claw has been around for years I understand it was orginally designed for Large Mouth Bass, It has kind of been rediscovered both in europe and Japan as a seabass lure. XPS is normally a badge name for BassPro or Cabelas (not sure which) so it could be an older model Z Claw, dust it off and whack some new trebles on it.
Seeing the pic of the dogy Jerk that Dai has I thought I should just mention that Cormoran have just released their 2010 catalogue, its brilliant, they have some great looking lures in there and I have ordered some samples. There are sinking surface lures in it too! I take it you all realise that Daiwa own 51% of Cormoran, so they tend to give Cormoran their moulds for stuff to get it made in China etc cheaper. They have done this with some of their lures, cheap and hopefully good. If anyone want a Cormoran catalogue just let me know, I will be asking them for quite a few.

Put me down for one Mick
cheers dai
Mick,
I would definitely be interested in that too. If they are making copies of their better bass lures like Shore Line Shiner SLs (Saltiga Minnows) in colours we cannot get normally over here then that would be great. They make some excellent otherlures in Japan that we never see here and are hard to track down too.

cheers

Mike
