You will be a lucky fella if you get that outfit Nick, I had the Branzino rod in my hand during the Nantes show, it sure is a class piece of kit !
Wouldn't it still work out more expensive mate? Cheapest one there is still £420 + shipping + VAT?Ben,
Try NavyBass in Japan!!
With LRF/HRF are we going the same way ? The rods that seem to work, are softer in the tip, giving more finesse and feel. For instance, are the Teklon rods the same as the Japanese version ?Shame Dave. Would have been a bargain!
You're right Sam. I think they're generally just more though actioned. Its anoth topic for discussion, but I do wonder why exactly some times. The lures we use are basically THEIR lures that they fish with THEIR rods. So I often wonder why we actually have our rods designed differently? The fish they catch actually grow bigger and the techniques they use aren't actually that different. Weird one.
am so so so tempted to "invest" in one of the new branzino rods, but £570 is a shed load for a 7 foot tool,,,,,,,,isn't it ?
Would be lurvly with the branzino reel 'saddled' upon her.
Yeah, coarse. Just saying that a lot of japanese rods have slower actions. Especially once you get past about 8 feet, or a touch more. Sometimes it's because they're designed for casting jigs, but it's also on their seabass rods.Ben,
Rods wise, Faster is more important than stiffer, also much harder to achieve.
Aren't the Teklon rods Spanish? With LRF/HRF are we going the same way ? The rods that seem to work, are softer in the tip, giving more finesse and feel. For instance, are the Teklon rods the same as the Japanese version ?
