It has been pretty grim on the Menai Straits since we have had the cold snap until today. I decided to take the boat out of the water to power wash the hull seeing that we have some mild weather compared to what we had the last couple of weeks on the Menai Straits... anyway before I took the boat out I went for a spin along the Straits. I observed a dozen of Cormorants or so working a back eddy just in front of a deep hole.....I said to myself what,s going on here ??? Any way... rigged a rod up quick with a set of Sabiki and dropped it down just up tide of the hole and jigged away and let the boat drift toward the Cormorants....After a few jigs I was into some fish, up came the Silver darlings (Herrings)...What a lovely sight !...Beautiful bars of Silver ....reminiscent of something from summer???....regardless of that I was well made up ! Filled a bucket after a couple of drifts. Penog Picle to eat tomorrow evening....!
