On Saturday my mate invited me fishing with him up the Hamble river, he works in the marina there and has a pass to get in.
He took me to one of his favorite marks where security couldn't see us.
I was in no rush to start fishing, I must be getting the hang of this fishing lark ;-)

Took my time to read the water conditions and wind direction, I spotted a few white bait near a VERY expensive yacht :-o , slight bubbling on the surface, it was clearly Mepps time :-D

You know those times when your casting is perfection? I was in the zone, each cast stopped a couple of feet short of the yacht, 4 bass in as many minutes :-D :-D

Meanwhile my mate was ignoring what I was doing and stuck to using a shad with a 1oz wieght attached to it, as a result he was getting nothing, he was fishing way too deep.
His casting was getting frantic, you could see the anger as his shad was hitting the water at 70mph, he ignored any advice I was offering and deciced to stick to his normal way of fishing.

I really thought he was going to throw his rod in the water, good thing security found us and escorted us out of the marina.

Don't think he will be inviting me again :wackit:
