I'm just wondering what weight people use on the Ned Rig for perch in still waters with crayfish plastics? Do perch feel the weight if it's too heavy, and what is heavy, is 10 grams regarded as heavy?

My other question is slow moving rivers and canals, what weight again for perch please?

Hi, the weight to me is dependent on the size of lure, water depth and weather conditions.
A light weighted lure will be difficult to cast into a head wind and will take longer to reach the bottom in deep water.
I use 5g Neds mostly in canals and still waters up to 10 - 12ft, but if I'm not casting far with a smaller creature bait, I have used lighter Neds.
