in my search for my first bass on plug, i manage to persuade a holiday with family to Havens greenacres, north wales this weekend. Just wondering any tips of where nearby i can extend my search for my first bass please.

You're going to the right places but what I learned quite early is that you can go to too many of the right places and accidentally fish them at the wrong times. What is the venue like? Any features? What are the likely baitfish present? Is there any current/flow/white water?

Remember what we said after the Penmon adventure, don't just cast and retrieve... THINK!

Cast... wait... wait.... wait.... twitch.... wait... keep waiting... retrieve... STOP! Wait.. twitch.... wait.... retrieve..... etc etc

Lazy fish like an easy meal! Do you chase your tea?!

No worries bob learned my lesson...calm...calm..a tic...calm..calm....reeel in...sort out the weed again... and watch the yatch pass through penmon point. Story of my lure fishing so far . oh btw got 4 lures from Japan from my mate, dead keen to try them out.
