Yep. Last year, in that week, i fished Aberporth beach, and caught loads of Dabs & Whiting & a bonus 'Scorpian Fish' (well . .. . .ok . . Luke caught them !!!). :muttley:

I fancy launching a big smelly bait off the beach at Barafundle :wackit:
Si,
If this weather holds, you may be better bouncing soft plastics along the bottom at Barafundle!

Yep, up for that too . . . and less gear to hump over that hill. :horsesword:
Christmas indeed! I finish work at 12 on xmas eve, then its a rush to the airport, fly to Southampton, then up to Swindon to spend it with the family until the 28th. Suppose I should look at buying some pressies at some point.

Debated taking the rod across for an afternoon on the Upper Thames or the Bristol Avon with some lures, but dont think thats happening now.

All the above assumes of course that snow or fog don't conspire to cancel my flights...Long range weather forecast for down here says cold snap to stay, snow possible on the weekend! Apparently there is a decent chance of a 'White Christmas' in a lot of places in UK as well.
Hopefully getting a new reel for crimbo, oh and maybe some waders. Old waders going cheep for any one legged pluggers out there
I am off from the 30th onwards and would like to fish anywhere during that time ! A mini welsh meet sounds good if anyone is interested ?????

You want to keep those old waders -- you can use them to patch your new waders :) :) :)
